Professor Ruth Beilin

Ruth is Honorary Professorial Fellow in Landscape and Environmental Sociology in the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She researches in the area of land and water management, policy and practice. Her more recent studies have focused on ‘the disaster landscape’: fire, flood, coastal inundation, and drought. Ruth examines these issues from within a social and ecological systems thinking framework.
